A conventional development project

Your organisation needs a website, application, CRM, integration or internal platform. We clarify the outcome and scope, design and build the solution, and agree how it will be operated. You fund the work and the contractual ownership is defined clearly.

This model is appropriate when the software serves your organisation, gives you a competitive advantage or must follow your policies closely. It supports predictable governance and does not require a separate software business.

A product partnership

You understand a recurring problem in an industry and know how to reach the organisations that share it. The idea could become a SaaS platform rather than software for one company. Nexum can contribute product and technical capability while the industry partner contributes market knowledge, validation and distribution.

The commercial structure can vary. The partner may fund development while both parties share ownership, both may invest resources, or part of the technical work may be exchanged for equity. No single formula suits every opportunity.

What does not change

Both models need a valuable problem, clear decisions and disciplined product development. Partnership is not a way to make uncertain work free.

Which model fits your situation?

Choose a client project when the primary value stays inside your organisation, the requirements are specific to it, or you want complete commercial control. Explore partnership when several organisations share the problem, you can help reach them and both sides want a long-term product business.

A project can reveal a later product opportunity. We can build a company-specific system first and discuss productisation only after evidence appears. Ownership and permission must be agreed before any reuse.

What we need for a first conversation

You do not need a finished specification. Explain who has the problem, how it is handled today, what it costs and whether you know others who face it. If you already have workflows, spreadsheets, screenshots or customer conversations, they make the discussion more concrete.

Frequently asked questions

Does Nexum only accept projects with an equity component?

No. We undertake conventional paid development projects as well as selected product partnerships.

Does partnership mean development is free?

No. A partnership shares risk and potential value. Funding, contributions, ownership and responsibilities are negotiated for each opportunity.

Who sells and supports a shared product?

That must be agreed explicitly. Often the industry partner leads market access while Nexum leads technology, but product decisions and support require shared ownership.

Both conversations can start the same way.

Tell us about the problem and the people who have it. Together we can decide whether it is a project, a product opportunity or neither.
